I am currently in a Vietnam War Museum in Ho Chi Minh. It is absolutely one of the most difficult things I've ever experienced. This isn't a village in Ghana or a favella in Brazil or a train station in India, its a museum inside with bathrooms and bright lights and a gift shop yet I still find tears running down my cheeks. There are many sides to every story and millions of sides to every war but how do you explain a soldier holding the decapitated head of a man and posing for a picture? How do you explain children shot and in a pile on the ground, naked babies dumped into a ditch? When will the world realize that these are PEOPLE we're dealing with? Its not a statistic, its not a video game, its not a profit, its not a story. Its a life and these are people.
